During the entire phase of the project, I spent a great deal of time deciding what to buy and where to buy it from. I have included several photos of the completed  home theater room and a complete equipment list.

The room is above my garage. The ceilings are only 8' tall in this room. A fiber optic ceiling was a must have so I added the drop down area with cove to create an illusion of height. This is the view as you are at the top of the stairs walking in.

Here is another view. The star ceiling is made from 1/2" plywood. Each panel is 4' x 7'. I sprayed the panels with ceiling texture (I did this before they were installed). I layed out a 1’ grid on the back and drilled 12 holes in each grid. I also drilled for the shooting star effect. I ripped a sheet of ¼ inch plywood into ¾ inch strips and glued these around the perimeter of each panel on the back side. The strips act as shims so the fiber does not get crushed. I added three additional shims spaced equally along the width of the panel (these shims have a break in them so you can route the fiber. The panels were painted and faux finished before hanging. I put the ceiling panel between two ladders about 1 foot from the ceiling and pulled all of the fibers through. I used quick grip construction adhesive to secure the fibers. I added more construction adhesive and screwed the panels into the ceiling joists. The panels were trimmed out and there you are.

This is a view looking back towards the stairs.

This is the candy counter area. This was a closet in a previous life. The ticket booth opens up to allow access to the furnace.

This shows the door partially open revealing the furnace. fiber illuminator and star controller.

This is the view looking down the stairs. The theater sign at the bottom is double sided and has the same Mylar on both sides. I could not find a two sided unit so I made this one.

Here is a view of the Pioneer 6010FD and equipment. I made the cabinet and all of the columns, etc.

Here are a few more views of the room
